Meet Tammy Shemesh, the newest member of The JCN Clinic Nutritionist team! Tammy has a Bachelor of Health Science in Nutritional Medicine. Akin to our other JCN Nutritionists, Tammy is super passionate about treating hormones and their relationship with underlying digestive issues. Tammy also enjoys working with fertility & reproductive challenges, restoring menstrual cycle health, postpartum and peri & menopause. We are super excited to have Tammy join our team here at The JCN Clinic.
As always, we want you to get to know Tammy, so let’s take this opportunity to formally introduce her to the JCN team…
Hi Tammy!Tell us a bit about yourself and where you are from.
Hi, I’m Tammy. I’m originally from London, England, and have been in Australia for 12 years after living in Spain and the USA. I absolutely love travelling and experiencing different cultures, especially through food. I’m also a mum to a 5 year old girl and a 3 year old boy, which shapes so much of how I live and practise.
What drew you to a career in health and nutrition?
In my teenage years I struggled with disordered eating. When I discovered yoga, I began learning how to truly nourish my body and mind. I became fascinated by the body’s intelligence and the way it communicates through symptoms. What really drew me into this work was seeing how many women were doing “everything right” yet still feeling exhausted, inflamed, anxious or struggling to conceive. I wanted to understand the why beneath the surface and support women in a deeper, more sustainable way.
As a Nutritionist, what does ‘healthy eating’ mean to you?
In my disordered eating days, I thought healthy eating meant eating as little as possible. Now, healthy eating means nourishment. It means eating enough. It means supporting my hormones, blood sugar, metabolism and nervous system in a way that feels safe and steady. It’s about enjoyment, pleasure and food that truly sustains you.

What are you super passionate about in the nutrition space? Is there a niche area in particular that absolutely fills your cup?
I’m deeply passionate about fertility nutrition and the growing body of research in this space. I love supporting women who have been told they have “unexplained infertility,” low progesterone, autoimmune thyroid conditions or cycle irregularities, and helping them restore balance so they can conceive with confidence and clarity.
Need personalised nutrition advice catered to your needs?
If you are after personalised nutrition advice and dietary planning individualised to your health and dietary needs then contact us at The JCN Clinic with your enquiry. We are always happy to answer any questions you have!
What are three staple ingredients you can simply cannot live without in your pantry/kitchen?
Great question 🙂 Eggs, grass fed butter and rooibos tea.
What is your favourite meal?
My favourite meal is one shared with my family. Simple foods like dhal, curry or chicken soup. Nothing fancy, just nourishing and made with love.
Do you have a cooking idol? Someone who inspires you in the kitchen…
I really love Sally Fallon Morell. Her work around traditional foods, mineral rich broths and properly prepared whole foods really resonates with me.
But what truly inspires me are other mums creating wholesome, batch cooked meals that can be repurposed the next day. That practical, nourishing rhythm of cooking once and eating twice is what works beautifully in our home.
What are your interests outside the JCN Clinic?
I absolutely love dancing and do a dance class weekly, although there’s plenty of dancing with the kids at home too. I also love reading and tend to get far too lost in a good fiction book.
Where can we find you on social media & join in on everything that you have shared and inspire us with?
You can find me on Instagram at @tammyshemesh.nutritionist.
We are super excited to have Tammy join our team here at The JCN Clinic, Tammy is available for consultations at The JCN Clinic on Tuesdays and Fridays with bookings online here . Alternatively you can contact us at The JCN Clinic reception with any queries or questions.
